Sunblest is nice, although i dont think the big supermarkets stock up on that.
Best of both, is that with the goodness of white and wholemeal bread?

£1.70 for a loaf? Shurely shome mishtake.
I like the choice of local v's supermarkets, and I'm lucky that I have both on my doorstep. I often use the small shop for my consumables - ciggies and diet coke.
They can't possibly compete for grocery prices, but at least I don't have to stand and wait in the queue while mindless morons pack the shelves and wait to be told to open a checkout.
I mean, how much harumphing do I have to do before they take the hint?

Happens to me a lot Gavin. I was in the shop yesterday buying some beer and the 4 people in front of me had tonnes of shopping, yet the assistant didn't call for help. Even worse, they all paid with their credit cards, which meant I was in a queue for 10 minutes.
By the time it got to me, someone had opened another till.
Fucking idiots...

I was at Morrisons yesterday afternoon, wish i never went now. It was packed full of mainly families out doing there shop. Surely the husband and kids can stay in the car and let the wife go round. The amount of screaming kids did my head in.
I only went in to get that Smarties Ice Cream (2 for £3) and ended up spending £13. I see one thing, turns into another and so on. 2 Packs of Marigolds, a Steamfresh dinner and Extra chewing gum just to name but a few.

I try to avoid taking Mr. Hellfire to the supermarket. He has to drive around the carpark 2 or 3 times, passing all available parking spaces to try and find a better spot. Doing my weekly shop takes twice as long with him in tow as we have to go up every aisle and when i'm not looking he sneaks things that we don't need into the trolley. When we get to the checkout he buggers off to leave me to pack and pay, his excuse is that he'll get the car and park it near the doors. He then does his dutifull husband bit by putting the bags into the boot. When we get the groceries home he dumps the bags in the kitchen, empties them looking for the crisps and choccies, then plonks himself in front of the tv while i'm left to unpack and put things away.
On my own i can whizz round there and be back home in under an hour. And the bill is atleast £40 cheaper.

I'm rather guilty of doing that, I work at Morrisons and they say you should park out of the perimeters, which I do, but I don't mind, as other than other members of staff no-one else parks next to me, which I believe is worth the extra walk.
I do the same when I nip to Tesco's aswell, although if I go after hours (ie 10.00pm or later) I usually park as close as possible.
