Can't think of any near me, but at the M6 exit slip road (J21 I think, Thellwall Viaduct) a few years ago just after it had been resurfaced, someone spelt Knutsford (slient K) as N'Ford, on the road, although it was quickly changed the marking is still evident today.

Well, not a silly sign as such, but now that it's been doctored this one always makes me laugh as I drive past!
It's on a country road in Northumberland, near Seahouses.

I know some of you will have seen this one from me before, but I think it's always worth a reprise.
This is the name of a real village, just to the north of Salisbury.
The road sign was real a couple of years ago, when a good friend of mine took the picture, but it mysteriously disappeared after I, and a few others, published the picture quite widely and drew either the county council's, or the thief's, attention to the alternative meaning of the unfortunate three words.

There was one in the Lymm area or Warrington too, always made me laugh whenever I went past it.

Got no silly signs to post. I was going to a take a pic of one last year on a country road near me, on a blind bend, while there were improvements being made to the road..
It said something along the lines of
Warning! Heavy vehicles turning!
Problem was you could barely read the sign because it was hidden by the hedgerows which hadn't been tended too.
