I've just converted to IE7 from Firefox. It's basically the same, but startup is about 10x faster than it's rival.

I've had a few error messages tonight right enough. I don't think I have a BETA of it...

I've grown to really like 'Firefox'. The interface is good, it's open source, and brililant.

I did like the intergration IE had with 'W.E.', though, IE7 does launch Explorer if a local location is launched, doesn't it?

There is one good thing about having both Firfox and IE, I have an old microsoft passport, so I think I'm going to save my password &c. for my old account on IE, and use my new account on 'Firefox'.

Out of interest, what is the worst that could happen to someone who has pirate-ed software/hardware?

A madwoman who works at my local PC World likes to tell people they'll be arrested and face jail time for using pirated Microsoft software. They always seem to believe her, tragically.

With IE7, the difference between the browsers is much less.

IE6 used to drive me nuts but I can hack IE7 quit easily.

I stick with firefox for a few reasons, firstly i find it quicker. It's all very well with IE appearing first, but the rest of the browsing always seems slower in IE.

Plus I've became used to the interface having used it since Phoenix 0.5 in about 2003. And I now cannot live without the spell checker, or the resizeable form fields.

M.s. will take them to p.d.c.2.0.0.5 & 'give them' free 'tickets'

Or the 'beta' version of Ms.N Messenger Live 2.0.0.6 and B.B.C High.Definition coverage,

I'm getting tired of people giving him attention

Just a little update...

My IE problem seemed to migrate from my non-legal machine to the legal one.

Quite alarming, really, as it has made me think there may be something malicious at work.

As a fix I have installed Firefox on both machines, and both work perfectly well. I quite like the spellchecker which is built in.

I don't really know how to resolve the bigger issue though.

That's true. Think I'll follow your method and ignore the bugger

stating the obvious perhaps but you have installed windows defender and the like and ran them to see if there's anything dodgy?

Don't install windows Defender, it's went crap when Beta 2 came out. Beta 1 found a lot of things that other programs didn't, but I've yet to run Windows Defender on a machine that I know is infected and actually have it find anything.
