I'd expect nothing less.Nick Harvey wrote:Just been chatting to lots of VERY important people.
Yup, used Ethernet connection since I've had it installed, though the Modem (NTL Modem 250) comes with both USB and Ethernet cables, there was a massive letter strontly advising not to use USB. Anyway thats not the problem, my problem is my PC can only take 128MB, where as NTL recommends 256MB at least, it does work fine, but it slows down when you run several programs obviously. I'm on the 4MB service, but my download rate should be about 400KB per second, (it has been) but sometimes can go as low as 40/50 KB, still fast but nowhere near as. I was thinking of Uprgrading anyway, still have some money left.Jamez wrote:Make sure you use Ethernet on NTL modems. I think the plan is to make them compatible with each other (ie. An MSN contact will be able to talk to a Yahoo! Messenger contact through both softwares.)Hymagumba wrote:I'd expect nothing less.Nick Harvey wrote:Just been chatting to lots of VERY important people.
On a related note, I thought Yahoo and MSN were meant to be merging their messengers? when is that supposed to be happening?
That's the best thing you've ever posted.Jamez wrote:http://194.112.40.188/trev2.swf
due to an accidental button press, I came across this in MSN's help pagesAntz wrote:Compatibility should be available in the next month or so (depending on technical issues).
I'm sure it does work. The new beta version apparently scoured my hard drive and imported all my yahoo contacts. At least I have no memory of having done it.Hymagumba wrote:due to an accidental button press, I came across this in MSN's help pagesAntz wrote:Compatibility should be available in the next month or so (depending on technical issues).
"If you are adding a Yahoo! Messenger instant message address, enter the full e-mail address."
so perhaps it's already working, just not advertised
