Divorce is always hard, particularly on kids.
I went to school with, and continue to go to school with, several people whose parents either didn't get on or separated for financial reasons.
They say it's hard living in two houses and living with parents who they don't get on with. One even has to travel down to Birmingham to go and see her father.
And just last week one of my dad's business colleagues was told his wife was leaving him, leaving their 16 year old son in a hell of a state, a week before his GCSE exams. (Maybe it did get to the point where they couldn't live together any more, but I think it's incredibly selfish, this is someone else's future she's fucking around with).
