OK, I was looking for a website for drivers for a piece of old hardware ive got, and i ended up on some warez site. They asked me to download a plugin to be able to download the zip file, so i did. the plugin installed and i downloaded the zip but it was corrupted.
Jamez, I've got to hand you the sucker of the week award for downloading the plugin in the belief that it would allow you to download the file in question. Any website that asks you to download a "plugin" in order to get a file should set alarm bells ringing, and hitting the back button on your browser.

And anyway, why on earth do you think a warez site would have modem drivers? :?

Beyer DT100s for me. You'll never get me to change.

And when working at the BBC, take your own, so you don't have to endure their "health and safety" volume limiters.

"Turn it up and rip the knob off" is my motto.

Not when it comes to trousers I trust! I know you're starting to get a little older nick, but RESIST the urge to hitch!

Oh no! Don't tell me you've hitched them up so far they've covered your ears! The first part of my perhaps crypic post refers to what the yanks like to call "The Zipper".

No, no.

Pardon.

(As in deaf, from forty-five years of headphones too loud.)

I always use my own. I don't like DT100s. 150s are good though.

Hello, I'm a new member and I've having the same problem. I have Windows 98 and do not use Internet Explorer because I get all those nasty poker/debt/whatever pop-ups all the time.

I used Ad-Aware but it hasn't solved it, and I have Norton, but it's Antivirus 2000, so no use for adware or spyware. Anybody got any suggestions, apart from "get a new PC"?
