The schools/colleges here all seem to have the same dates this year (which is a novelty, my college hols usually fall at a different time to my brother's school hols). I know that Durham Schools (& Colleges) have only just ended, and since I was in Newcastle for a conference last Wednesday, and the place was dead, I assume the Tyne and Wear councils have the same School holidays. My brother's hols have just begun... so Northumberland is also back 24th.
The next holiday (end of course in my case) after Easter is scheduled for 29th May – 2nd June 2006 (College week 44). Dunno about schools though. Quite like the quiet bus services in June & July. Never lasts long enough.
