I joined on the 6th of April 2001, I'm pretty sure it was launched in Feb 01

i joined not long after it opened, i used to browse tv home quite often and was a casual contributor to notbbc.
i still have an interest in tv presentation and the general workings of tv, it's a shame tv is probably as boring and dull as its ever been.
i can't watch all these dancing on ice, just the two of us, eurovision etc etc, i feel intellectually raped every time i try.
its strange, i find myself listening to radio 4 almost all of the time now. i'd quite readily pay £130 a year just for that, tbh.

I'm sure I must have joined some years before the launch.
Indeed, I remember remarking to Pete, down at the gate, that on the eighth day we ought to create a forum of some kind.

Oh I remember that, IIRC I suggested we should put it out to tender on a PFI style scheme. Probably my worst decision ever...

Thou shalt, henceforth, be known as "The Gatekeeper"!
That Hicks bloke never DID have enough finance available and, finally, had to tweak a standard package beyond all recognition, and stability, for that matter.
