I looked at the website the other day and decided not to download it because there was no information about whether I could uninstall it and go back to IE6 if I didn't like it or I had a problem with it... anyone know if that's possible?

There are instructions on the FAQ page explaining where within the control panel's "add/remove software" you can uninstall and restore IE6.
I would try it, but my computer says no.

I'm sure you'll be surprised to see me posting the following . . .
A guide on how to install IE7 Beta 2 Preview Release alongside IE6:
Download the installer file from Microsoft, but
don't actually run the installer.
Create a folder labelled
7 inside your Program Files\Internet Explorer folder.
Open the installer with WinRAR and extract the contents into the
7 folder.
Open Notepad, and create a
blank text file. Don't write
anything in it.
Save the file as "iexplore.exe.local" in the
7 folder.
Run the new "iexplore.exe" file in the
7 folder.
You now have a standalone/local IE7 Beta installed alongside your pre-installed IE6.
(Or better still ... stuff IE7, and use
SeaMonkey instead!)
I have to agree about the GUI in IE7. What the blinking flip have they done by arranging the toolbars like that?!?
If anything, on the basis of that total train wreck of a GUI alone, IE7 is not going to win many fans (if any) and
it'll probably have even more people moving to Firefox and Opera. Of course, IE7 is only a beta product at the
moment, so I wouldn't 100% rule out a "Classic" UI option being added before the browser is finalized.

Right. Well I've spent half an hour trying to arrange the toolbars into some kind of sensible order and I've failed. I have managed to turn off "ClearType" which makes text less clear and "Image Dithering" which makes images fuzzy.
What muppet made it look like this? Why is the File, Edit etc menu not at the top? Why can't I group the graphic buttons like back, forward, print together? Why are some of them locked to the same row as the tabs? Why is the address bar stuck to the top? Why do the favourites not lock to the side of the page when you open them? Why are the stop and refresh buttons miles away from back and forward? Why can't I resize the address bar?
Do I try and live with this for a few days or do I get rid of it?

Decision made. I have removed IE7 and am back on IE6.
It's more than just because it looked unfamiliar. Things look as if they have been changed simply for the sake of changing them. It kinda feels like it would if someone brought out a new car and thought it'd be much better if the clutch and accelerator were the other way round.
The toolbars take up more room than they do in IE6 (or at least much more room than they do the way I have them set up). The buttons are all over the place and are not resizable. The address bar is unnecessarily huge and you can't resize it. The File, Edit bar cannot be placed at the top of the screen and it's hidden by default.
I do like tabbed browsing and the multi-tab view is nice, but overall I hated that with a passion and I'm feeling a huge sense of relief to be back on IE6 with no problems.

Bloody hell. That is horrible. Never seen such a clumsy, horrible or disgusting user interface.

Well you never know. It might work.
I have my menubar turned off on both WMP and MSN and operate both fine.
