To be honest I don't really know what I've got against a house-share! I'm an only child so I guess that has something to do with it!Aston wrote:Jay, what's wrong with a houseshare? It's what most other people your age are doing.
I've found a fantastic set of housemates, we didn't know each other before we moved in and we're still here in Ealing nearly 2.5 years later!
London is a fantastic city and like any other place there are nice areas and not so nice areas that you want to avoid.
We don't I'm afraid - full house here!jay wrote:To be honest I don't really know what I've got against a house-share! I'm an only child so I guess that has something to do with it!Aston wrote:Jay, what's wrong with a houseshare? It's what most other people your age are doing.

Ealing seems like a nice place - any spare rooms going?!
I know about the travel - why does it cost so much! GRR!!Aston wrote:We don't I'm afraid - full house here!jay wrote:To be honest I don't really know what I've got against a house-share! Ealing is a very nice place, we're lucky - I think we've got something of a good deal: 4 double bedroomed house about 10mins walk from tube for about £420/month. Then you have to add on council tax & bills unfortunately, so it comes to over £515 usually. Most places would be another £100 or more I reckon...
Remember, you still have to pay for travel when you get here, it's about £100 a month for a Zones 1-3 travel card!

Life's all about new experiences and adventures, and being an only child shouldn't affect you. Take the plunge - afterall, what's the worst that can happen?
