Ah Elgar! I'm quite partial to a bit of Rachmaninov and Vaughan Williams too!
Though why my new sister-in-law chose Handal's 'Arrival of the Queen of Sheba' for her wedding as she LEFT the church is beyond me. Didn't even have the wedding march!

I do like Zadok the Priest, but for me the best thing about, or the thing that makes it special, is the intro and how it gradually builds up to when the choir come in.
As a music student I've had the opportunity to listen to a wide range of lesser-known stuff that I never thought I'd like but did, and I'd find it hard to 'single out' any favourite pieces so I'll mention the most recent concert I went to - a prom- where Grieg's piano concerto was performed. It was excellent, and I particularly liked the second movement.
