When/if it snows, i will be hurling snowballs( spiked with stones) at the snowman effigy i'll build of you. That'll teach you to brag about being in Sunny Oz while i'm freezing my tits off.

Since the Meteorological Office itself admits, 'Confidence in long-range predictions is relatively low compared to our normal short-period forecasts' why put any faith in these long range forecasts?

They can only confidently predict [ha] five days hence.

An item on You and Yours today concerned the effect of global warming in the UK which has attracted leaf peepers [their term] to the Forestry Commission's National Arboretum. We are beginning to resemble New England, apparently.

Inuit[s?] living on Baffin Island who would normally, at this time of year, be setting off on pack ice to search for fishing grounds are, as we speak, launching their kayaks on the briny. They have held a conference to agree new Inuit words for greenhouses gases and other phenomena that are affecting their way of life.

Mind you, I bought a hugely attractive furry [fake furry] coat last week, so what do I know?
