By the looks of it I have to buy credit? So I can't just buy a single track as a one off? At least it charges according to length of track. Tesco was 79p for a two minute punk track or a 20 min ambient track regardless. :P

Correct - I think the minimum is $5 (US). However, if you choose to encode MP3s at 192k, you'll be able to get a few dozen songs from Allofmp3, whereas the same amount would get you a paltry amount elsewhere.

The genius of the set-up is that Russia currently has no consistent, specific or enforceable legislation to cover digital music rights. Therefore, the guys that own the site literally buy a CD upon release, rip the tracks off it and then make them available through their proprietary distribution service. There's no laws in Russia to say that they can't do that, and there's no European legislation to prevent you for purchasing digital content or service from other countries.

Ergo, you're legitimately paying for a product, albeit from another country, and the product is yours to do with as you please once you have paid the asking price for it.

Honestly, I should be on commission for Allofmp3.
