No, no, I think you're mistaken.

It's the A Levels that are getting EASIER, not the students.
At any rate James, they're not getting BLINDER. Don't bother warming the nonce-wagon up tonight matey, it will be a wasted trip.

ROFL!

I don't think there's much chance that these 'A' Level students will be rammed by James's roboplegic wrongcock.

Well I got 2 C's and a D in the end, which I am more than satisifed with, but I seem to be bemused in that in one of my Media papers I got 24 out of 90 and in the other I got 90 out of 90, it's either one extreme or the other. The same goes for my General Studies, out of three papers, on 2 I got A grades but on the other I got a U grade.

Bemused, but pleased. Spent all of yesterday celebrating.

GCSE results out today and again yet more poorly informed rubbish being reported.

Someone said this on BBC News Online

In today's 'nobody should fail' education system, and with a pass rate of over 98% for GCSE's where's the differentiator? Surely any exam that 98 in 100 people pass ceases to be relevant!

They seem to be forgeting that a pass includes grades A* to G. How come they never make this clear in the media? How many people just list on their CV the number of passes, and not their grades!

Agreed they should make it more clearer

As for saying they are getting easier say that to the students who fail the exams or get low grades (E & F's)

My brother did very well in his A Levels: - A - Geography, B - Maths, B - IT, however he found it very hard indeed studied a lot for his exams & was hoping to get an A in Maths.

The other day on sunrise, they had a poll about " are the exams getting easier?". Now, before the students had opened their results 60% of viewers thought they were getting easier  That got me thinking, who the hell was voting? and when was the last time they sat a GCSE or A level? Also 60% of how many people?

I love sky news but their polls mean absolutely zich to me. Well actually, what is the point of polls?

It would be interesting to see the results of someone in their 30's- 40's sitting one of todays exams and a 16 year sit an 70/80's paper.

I would phone the beeb and tell them my idea but they've barred my calls :D

Good idea in regards to 30-40 year olds taking them. Then we would soon know if they were right or not.
