You could, of course, just survive on a glass of water out of the tap

Nothing special about rainwater
I actually filled a sink with cold water and stuck my head in it... and then I realized I can use it to cool myself off...
You clearly didn't get the joke!

It was too hot on Saturday and Sunday, to top it all off, I was working, in the heat, which didn't make the situation any better, we just had to rely on fans, freezers and having the top 3 buttons of our shirts undone it was that bad.
But we cheered on Sunday when the Thunder and lightning came, with the rain too, so it cooled down a bit there, except the fact it was dark at 3.30pm.

It really is so typical of people in this country... We have shit weather for about 90% of the year. Then as soon as the sun comes out everyone starts complaining it's too hot like a bunch of wet farts. Come on people, pour yourself a nice cold drink and stop being so pathetic.

The thing is, EVERYONE says that - the reason Britons complain all the time is because if we had nice 'normal' weather then we'd be able to cope with both the warm and shit weather - the fact that we ALWAYS get shit weather, as you say, for about 90% of the year means people become used to it and then decidedly melt when the sun pops out.

I tend to moan about the humidilty and wish it were cold and snowing. Then when in six months time it IS cold and snowing, I wish it were humid. I'm never happy!

It's not the heat that bothers me, it's closeness and muggyness that surrounds it.
I love the sun.. even if it doesn't love me. Everytime I try and sunbath it's buggers off, or when I have a free few hours - it's cloudly. Damn.
