?Audio Advice? Saving Audio from mini disc

While I'm here, has anyone got any decent sites for good background music? I'm quite willing to pay it provided I could sample a clip for suitablilty first.

I need it for...

4 min 'information video' - basically powerpoint with graphs and pics etc along with a voiceover narrating. - looking for something with a fast tempo beat with a 'positive' feel. It has to fit under the voiceover so that it doesnt overpower it though.

Pondering on whether to use music during awards for when winners come up to the stage - something that still is upbeat but quite subtle at the same time. Any ideas?

The final credit sequence will have Lulu's 'get ready' over it which works quite well.

Have got a gram hidden away under the desk here, but no RIAA pre-amp to feed it into the computer.

I also have a 45 of the National Anthem, but little use without the means to play it back.

Try Mr Google; there must be a copy of the Anthem online somewhere.

Although it may sound odd. Newsgrounds has a music loop section where members can post their compositions. Long as you ask the author of anything you use first (most say yes as long as you credit them) and your away. I did pretty much the same (on a dif site) for a fab Dr Who mix someone made for a spoof I'm working on.

As for a random drum loop try google, there are loads of pay and free sample sites around. I think Audition comes with a few sessions files as well.

Well might Martin be so blazen as to unstickify it then? If the thread has been acknowledged (as was its original purpose) then perhaps it could be allowed to sink rather than corrupting my poor poor line of sight whenever browsing this forum
