Why do these knobheads think that it's cool to de-face a Vauxhall??

They look like someone's just stuck a sheet of cardboard to the front and back, and painted the windows with black paint whilst balancing the remainder of a Meccano set on the boot.

In some cases, that's exactly what has happened.

Oh, and changing the subject slightly, does it make me slightly chavvy if I want to get a New Vauxhall Astra? They're soo nice!

although vauxhalls are aimed at the lower end of the market the new models are beyond range of affordability for chavs.

if you note chavs tend to drive newer pugs, fiestas or saxos because they're cheap. the new astras are quite expensive right now - even second hand ones don't loose too much value at the moment.

so i think you're safe.... for now.

Posh chavs or people who aspire to be something they're not drive BMW's, Ford KA convertibles (the poor mans Audi TT) or some other kind of chavvy car.

If I was earning big money, I would be happy enough with a Golf or something. I don't need a car or a stupidly big house as some kind of status symbol.

When you're next in town and you see people driving around in flashy cars, just be happy in the knowledge that you OWN your car outright. In most cases the bank owns those flashy cars!

I've always been brought up never to get something unless I can pay for it outright. If I wanted a £30,000 car (which I don't!), I would only get it if I could walk into the dealership with a breifcase stuffed with fifties. Purely to see the expression on the blokes face!

This country is run on people with hired-purchase. Very soon it's all going to hit the fan. Recession is coming...
