I'd put myself up as moderator of the mocks forum, but there's not that much to moderate - probably why I'd be great for it. I don't view a large enough range of different threads to be able to moderate the other forums though, and if I'm a little tipsy all hell can break loose.

Anyway, I'd vote Gavin.

I'd nominate myself - but only because I have a fab idea for a political video ;)

Ergh, forget it then. I don't wanna be a mod. I may actually vote for Jamez to see his video, then vote Gavin next time. I don't know now.

tvmercia wrote:whether or not asa will take any notice is another matter. oh and its pointless suggesting yourself as a mod, as the people who want DESPERATELY to be moderators, generally are the type of people who would be far from suitable.
I would also be untrusting of those who really wanted to be a mod.

I understand that sounds hypocritical after my going for the 4th mod in Jan 2003 (God, so long ago!). I did really want to win, but it didn't crush me that I didn't. Far from it.

I don't mean to flatter myself or the other MP247 mods unduly, but I think we've got the balance just about right. This place and TVF thrives on arguments and conflict, and there have been probably more threads locked in the last 2 weeks on TVF than there have been on MP247 in its history.

My experience of moderating, for all interested in putting themselves up in a TVF poll, have been somewhat underwhelming and lacking in locking action. That said, as part of the mystical clique, I am hardly likely to shut down many posts because they might be 'on the edge.'

It's just like being a normal member, except I can see an extra 2 forums when I log in.

Despite my deep love for Nick Harvey (with associated sexual thrill), I would have to go with James, despite my sig. He would add edginess to the place, and that's what TVF is missing right now. I feel that Nick would ban people far too quickly, when the truth is that the fun of the place is derived from the morons. As much as we disliked Pannell, how many of us can say we weren't entertained by his crass idiocy?

Failing James, Gavin. Although I actually feel he wouldn't want the responsibility. Gavin, the floor is yours, fella.

The Staff Room- where Martin, Gavin and I plot everyone's downfall, and

Shifted Threads - mainly locked threads, threads from banned members, and so on.

That's fine Jonny.

But I have to disagree totally with you about Jamez. Nice guy and everything, but I think he'd be too bolshy and irrational.

A TVF mod needs to be someone who can give a logical reason for something, not based on a whim or personal opinion.
