How about... Synonym-finder?

Why don't people just switch it off completely (that's what I do) ? :?
Because its usually quicker to start up from standby.

(Edit: I'm so slow.. already answered.)

On a film or TV programme why, when someone looks through binoculars, do you see the action through two circles joined in the middle? That's not what you see when you look through binoculars.

Why are dusters yellow?

You use them as sponges for your man milk and your mum has to burn them.

Why, no matter how carefully you use superglue do you always get it on your hands?

Why do words come out of my mouth before my brain engages?

I've pondered the roast beef monster munch mystery for ages now. My fella thinks it's no big deal. So i'm glad i'm not the only one.

Apparently because yellow was the cheapest dye when dusters were first introduced commercially. Or that's what's stuck in one of the many dusty corners of my brain, anyway.

You do have to be one of the most intelligent people I've come across on the Internet. Your website is remarkable, SJH. Keep up the good work! ;)

No problem, SJH. Your election coverage makes excellent and informative, reading!

Other matters now...

I started this thread in the hope I would get some answers to my original 4 questions, but instead everyone else has added their own and not attempted to answer mine.

I would also love to know the answer to Marks question too. Where do all my socks go? I'm forever buying new ones from Tesco. I've phoned my mum to see if she's washed them and has them at her house, but nope.

I've searched my living/laundry room (hehe), and they are no where to be seen! I've looked under my bed, I've looked in my big cardboard box of junk (which contains around half a mile of cables, empty fag packets, an old WinTV Go PCI card, an old omni-directional microphone with a broken XLR cable, and a lacy black girls thong which I have no clue as to who it belongs to!!!) but no socks!!

I never wear underwear (unless I'm wearing loose fitting jeans), so finding clean boxers is rarely a problem, but finding socks...
