Oh ta. I struggled with the valve on that last one and then I realised it was masquerading as a sticky-outy tummy-button.

Now that would be cool, James. What month are you thinking about?

Early August. I want to visit the locations of the BBC One balloon with my posse of balloon anoraks. ;)

Seriously though, I would love to visit the west coast of Scotland this year. It did look lovely on the idents.

Happy birthday Gavin!

Bananas skins and gaffer tape from me. Apparently they're a man's best friend, according to some obscure American website.

Here's a quandry;

During a rather full-on Christmas work night out, I invited (it would seem) the world and their dog to a 'birthday party' which is taking place on Friday.

I've been downplaying the whole event since then by saying shit like, "oh well its sort of my birthday party, but really I'm sure some folk just wanted to go out as its the first pay day after christmas... oh and Gerry is leaving soon so its sort of a leaving party for him..." etc etc.

At the last count (including text messages and emails) there are about 40 people attending this event, which kicks off in Nobles Bar in Leith. I'm honestly a little intimidated by all this. I have no idea what to do with 40 people.

Should I plan a series of places to go? I haven't so much as read a copy of the List so don't even know what club nights are on.

I feel I either have to go the whole hog and stay lucid enough to lead the way, or quickly get pissed and let others take over.

What would you do?

Noble's Bar in Leith this Friday (the 28th), you say. About what time should we all arrive?

go with the flow. since its a friday night, i'd expect most people to want to stay in the pub, as they've probably been to work that day.

ask around during the evening and see what most people want to do, and just do it.

have a good nite out by the way, i first big one after christmas was last friday. went out for a meal then went to the pub. got so drunk, i can't remember half of what happend.

That is just madness. It's cold. And Cold. And Cold. And there's nothing there but hills, rain, snow and coldness. lol

Happy Birthday btw.
