24hr drinking - good or bad

I could see no benefit of having 24 hour drinking, only IMO exceptable when there are major sporting events occuring, though I can't see that happening for some time now.

But I do agree with Martin, I cannot see the harm with pubs, Off Licences and Supermarkets selling alcohol until the early hours. 11pm is too early at the pub, it should be 12.00am say Sunday to Thursday and 1.00am Friday and Saturday would make sense IMO. I'm sure thats happened to many of us, when you go down to the pub for a drink with a few mates, then you can get nothing after 11.00pm and it usually means the evening has to end, which is kind of shit really, also when you don't feel like going to Nightclubs.
