I collect spiders, apart from the dangerous kind. I tell you, when you have several of them in container, they don't half make some noise. I had to move them out of my bedroom some moonths ago due to not being able to get to sleep at night because of the scratching sounds.

One other spider I had in the kitchen wasn't so lucky. I put the spider into an
empty jam jar and put the lid on. So, I thought to myself what can I do with
this spider. I know I will violently shake the jar so it confuses the spider!
How would you like it, if someone put
you in a huge glass jar and shook it violently?

Then I thought, why do that. Let's give it a different surrounding. So I filled
the jam jar up a little bit of water, probably only quarter of the way full.
Within two days, it died from drowning.
And what did this harmless creature ever do to deserve such a slow and torturous demise?

Silly bugger, shouldn't of gone near water!
You shouldn't
have (not shouldn't of) drowned it!

Finally the most worrying statistic that I once heard was that at least
eight spiders will enter into your mouth whilst your asleep...per year!
Most statistics are made up on the spot . . .
