I suppose O2 are trying to get it going again with its business zone things. Not the same - but I suppose the appeal is you get cheap cheap calls if you're calling a certain local zone (like landlines)

Does anyone remember around about 2000, BT launched something I think was called OnePhone or something similar, which was basically a landline phone with a land line (01____/02____) number, on a telephone which used a land line cable when you were at home and mobile masts when you took it out with you? It cost around about £400 which is probably why you never hear about it any more!! LOL.
Replaced with the non-geographic 07000 prefix which soft-patches that permanent number to anywhere you happen to be - mobile or landline.

Something like that.

I gave my mobile a wee make-over today. I've got a Sony Ericsson Z600 with those clam shell cover thingies. Thought it be dangerous and use the blue ones.
