In my area (Overton), we don't have a carnival, instead we have a sheepfair. It's a bit rubbish really, loads of sheep and stuff like that.

As James pointed out, Hinckley's carnival was last weekend and Fosseway Radio, the local station, were out in full force - along with their HIDEOUS green tops!
But of advice for the Lincs group here - use your other colour, purple, instead because it's 10 times more classy. Last time I went to one of Fosseway's OBs (the Hinckley Xmas lights switchon) you had purple coats which looked much better than that green.
The Source FM tops are far better... mine even has my name on it!
Coventry had the Godiva festival last weekend - I was rudely awakened with a hangover at 11am last Saturday by several thousand people shouting and tooting their way up Priory Street.
And then on the Sunday we had the Rally of the Midlands coming through!
