I've been lucky too - I've had two wins of four numbers, three wins with three numbers and won a total of £184 on scratchcards....

The most I ever won on the National Lottery (as it was then) was 78 quid back in 1997 - for four numbers. I've been playing every week since 1994 (twice a week since the Wednesday draw was introduced) and my total winnings are less than 150 quid. I have kept the same numbers all the time, so I feel obliged to keep playing - 'cos how would I feel if those numbers came up and I hadn't bought a ticket!

My auntie reckons she once had all 6 numbers but she hadn't gotten round to buying her ticket that week. Yet she seems relatively stoical about the whole thing - I'd have jumped under a bus!

A woman in our village recently won 17 million on the Euro Lottery thingummybob - I didn't know her personally, though it's tempting to knock on her door and introduce myself now... ;)

The mother of a lad I was at school with won £8.5 million about two months ago. He's a happy chappy now.

Personally, I never partake.

Anyone seen the "interactive" scratchards on the National Lottery website?

I wonder if - with a little local ram fiddling - you could jig it up so you win the max every time, or if the results are predetermined before you play

We get a tenner a couple of times a year but otherwise zilch. We did get 4 balls sometime in the mid 90s.

I played a fiver on the Daily Play once and won a tenner. I reinvested it and got £300. Helped pay off a bit of the credit-card!

BREAKING NEWS: You can add to my tally the £7 I have just won on my latest scratchcard!

That will pay nicely for a secondhand trance CD from the secondhand shop....
