The only thing I use Bing for is it's maps, which were formerly Multimap. Much better quality and more accurate than Google Maps, and they have Ordinance Survey ones too

we're a few years off yet, but RBS are disposing of 300-odd branches and will rebrand them as Williams & Glyn: http://www.scotsman.com/business/manage ... -1-3115767

I think they've previously said that it would be RBS branches in Scotland and NatWest branches in England.

Although obviously they won't be using the RBS device.

It'll be the NatWest branches in Scotland, and the RBS branches in England & Wales. If it happens, that is.

On the subject of RBS, my branch in Edinburgh has new signage sporting a new logo. The arrows remain but 'RBS' has been replaced with 'Royal Bank of Scotland'. I'll try and get a photo in the next couple of days, but imagine the old logo with a new font.

The branch featured on an RBS advert a couple of years ago so it could be some form of concept branch.

Digital Spy - http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/about/produ ... -logo.html

Most would be an improvement, but they all look they'd be better suited for VOD services.

Why don't they just admit defeat, submit to design trends and go the whole Jonny Ive hog.

They've done that on purpose:
a (somewhat D-shaped) play button which we like given our focus on video in recent months. If nothing else, 'play' and the aperture both represent our focus on entertainment and technology.

Thomas Cook have had a rebrand today, replacing their old logo which had been in place since 2001.

It's different. I do think the old logo is a classic though but it had been through tough times recently so I can understand for the need of a rebrand.
