Why is it that some foods make your wee smell? For example if i eat sugar puffs my wee smells of sugar puffs.
Also if i eat too much beetroot it turns it a pretty pink colour.

Do certain foods effect your urinary tract?

As a woman of a certain age you should be used to leaving your dignity at the front door. Just curiosity it happens to everyone.. doesn't it?

It does and I should be but still it's an odd subject, the Sugar Puffs part didn't make it easier. Given all that though, I'll see what I can fish up.

Right, it's all chemically based and some of the chemical compounds which make up the smells and colours in your food don't get or can't be processed and pop out t'other end intact but you'll only ever notice it if it ends up going through your urinary tract given it has no initial scent of its own and fluid is easy to colour especially with heavily coloured stuff like beetroot.
