I was really bored online yesterday and Metro was a bit quiet so it got me thinking about a new thread,self-explanatory really, things to do online when you're bored! Here's a list of websites I find that do seem to kill a bit of time and some that might help someone

http://www.i-am-bored.com
Great site, does films, virals, games etc.

http://www.digg.com
A social news site that has news you submit so it gets a bit freaky sometimes. Nice though.

http://www.vidics.com
Streaming online movies site, it does all the new releases eg Xfiles, The Mummy, Dark Knight etc. Think youtube.

http://www.tvshack.net or http://www.peekvid.com
Streaming online movies and tv show site, it does mainly US shows like Heroes, lot of Family Guy on there too.

http://www.channel4.com/games
Compiles the best of the webs games everyday in the chart, also sends out a newsletter every Friday which is handy.

http://www.live-online-tv.com/uk.html
Selection of Uk channels to watch live, Sky News etc

http://www.filestube.com/
If you need a file, be it music or video or anything you will most likely find it here.

http://www.maxgames.com
Apparently not blocked by websense, so you can play games at work.

http://www.virtualnes.com
Play nintendo games.

http://www.pandora.com
Pandora is the music discovery service that helps you find new music based on your old and current favorites. Create custom internet radio stations, listen free.

http://www.findingyourmarbles.com
This is an informative, friendly and inspired “Handbook for life” for people suffering from mental illness.

http://www.youconvertit.com/convertfiles.aspx
Convert any media file format (Documents, Images, Audio, Video & Archives) without buying or installing anything on your PC.

http://www.ebuyer.com
Great site, cheapest electronics store I know

Any suggestions welcome, hope it helps! :)

Well its a better list than the rubbish sites Kate recommends on Click's "Webscape".

I might have a click through to some of those tonight, actually.

Was absorbed by a few hours at this one. Fascinating to see stuff that's hidden around us - the photos are well worth taking a look at.

Hehe!

Now, I know the Irish are supposed to only think about potatoes and nothing else, but you might want to edit that bit before you incur any wrath.
