Multiple Monitors - How?

For a long while now I've been using 2 monitors, my main PC one and a HD Telly next to it, which I use to preview video etc. My graphics card (nVidia 7600) also has TV-Out but I can't see to find a way to make it use all three. Idealy monitor 2 & 3 would just clone each other one using DVI the other TV-Out. Does anyone know how I could do this? Or what graphics cart I could do it with?

I found this screen shot which proves it should be possible:

Not gone widescreen yet, Bail? ;)

Why do you need three monitors? Why not just get one big one like this: http://gizmodo.com/photogallery/alienwa ... 1000426997

Thats just "a" screen shot, not mine, or I wouldn't be asking the question.

OK, knowing dead little about graphics cards as a whole but fairly diligent when researching I'm guessing you're running the version of the 7600 with the two DVI outputs and not the one with one DVI output and one VGA output (both with the S-Vid outs).

If it's the former then you might just be able to do it with your card, getting a screenshot of a 7900 doesn't prove you can run 3 screens off of it though. Thing is, I can't diagnose this well and I doubt few others can without knowing how you intend to connect it up and how you do it now.

There are LOTS of reasons you would want two smaller monitors, Jamez, rather than one huge one. What if you want to watch a film on one monitor and work on the other? Or run a full screen app, like Audition, on one of your monitors? You can't do that practically with one large monitor.

Re the original query:

My computer has a graphics card that supports one DVI output, an S Video ouptut and an HDMI output. I have one monitor plugged in to the DVI, and another plugged into the HDMI using a DVI-HDMI converter on the monitor.

For high-resolution viewing, S-Video is far too low I'm afraid - won't do you any good.

Also, all monitor ports MUST be on the same graphics card. So if you have an onboard card with a montior output, it won't work simultaneously with the graphics card.

If you just want two of your monitors cloned, you have it made as you can buy monitor duplicating boxes.

Ah you misunderstood me. By monitor, I mean an small SD Broadcast preview monitor. Basically When editing I use my HD Telly for final playback and checking etc, but I'd like to use an accurate monitor to check colour etc. I can use one at a time, but I'd like to be able to clone it to use both.
