It has come to my attention that, while I have been away, Sput has turned from Sput into USER REMOVED.
This is a shocking development and I demand an explanation from one of the elite members.

To summarise things, Mr Brass was apparently removed by management, and the matter is currently in the hands of lawyers.

I don't think that's the case.Charlie Wells wrote:See: http://www.metropol247.co.uk/forum/view ... start=1430

What I don't understand is, since what happened didn't happen *on Metropol*, why is Metropol involved?

It's Metropol/Gavin's lawyers which are involved. Until Gavin is able to make a statement I doubt we'll know the full/basic story of what events, though presumably it is fairly serious of lawyers to be involved.cdd wrote:I don't think that's the case.Charlie Wells wrote:See: http://www.metropol247.co.uk/forum/view ... start=1430

The thing is, Sput was one of the (increasingly few) members who I really liked on here. So I'm surprised that he is in some kind of trouble. Without knowing what has happened it's not possible to give a view (not that it would be wanted!) but given how overall friendly and nice a person he has always been on this board his alleged recent behaviour is inconsistent, to say the least, and if it has not already been attempted I would hope Metropol would look for a leinient or forgiving explanation.
Surely we are not so litigious that we must involve lawyers to deal heavy-handedly with a member who has been nothing but good-natured, cheerful and (to non-trolls) courteous over the last few years?
