Another High Street Rebrand

Come off it Spencer For Hire, you're just trying to humiliate me, aren't you? You know my habit of coding TV channel names, so you're trying suggest coding other things e.g. retail outlet names.

Yes.

'Associated Dairies' could use the code AsDa.

'Marks & Spencer' could use the code M&S.

I hate to think what 'Lidl' is a code for.

;)
Well observed Neil Green, some retail outlet names are themselves codes.

M&S is the code for Marks and Spencer.
Bhs is the code for British Home Stores.
ASDA is indeed the code for Associated Dairies (glad to see you as well as I know that).
H&M is the code for Hennes & Mauritz AB.

Inventing other codes (which are shorter still) makes no sense. It's totally sad and pointless. The retailers use them, and the codes listed above, and they have caught on with the consumer.

Are you taking the mickey or what james2001? Just imagine the following scenarios:
1) Going into a cafe and saying "A glass of CC1 please".

2) In McDonalds:
Customer: "Large Big Mac Meal please."
Person serving: "What drink would you like?"
Customer: "CC1 please."
Person serving: "What on Earth's CC1?"
Customer "It's my code for Coca Cola."
Person serving: "Okay. Say Coca Cola then."

3) Talking to someone: "Would you like a can of CC1?"

Almost as ludicrous as asking someone to switch the tv over to B7 (instead of saying News 24)....... ...... oh, wait a minute ....

I intend to apply MPuc5 to Tumble Tower. As soon as someone correctly translates it it shall be applied.

Nick wins.

You win a Metropol logo printed on a sheet of A4, signed by myself. Well done.
