Jury Duty
I've just finished my 2 week period of Jury duty. I really enjoyed the experience of actually being in a court room. I'd love to hear other members experiences.

Out of interest, what are the arrangements for getting paid when you're on jury duty? Does your employer have to keep paying you or do you get paid by the legal system?

If the trial lasted a fortnight, it must have been pretty serious.
Japan is even longer, it can take up to six months or more for a case that may take 1-2 months over hereStuartPlymouth wrote:That's still quite a long trial, although if it was in the US it would've lasted at least 3 months, they are notoriously slow!

There were a lot of legal issues that needed clearing up. We had long periods of time when we weren't actually in court, and trust me, that's the most boring thing about it.StuartPlymouth wrote:That's still quite a long trial, although if it was in the US it would've lasted at least 3 months, they are notoriously slow!
