If you move one up or down, does it stay in the place you've put it over a closedown and reopen?
If so, a workaround might be a once-off tidy up, if nobody comes up with a better solution.

Yeah it does. And I've tried importing one from Firefox where the icon is correct, but it just changes to the wrong one again. What is a once-off tidy up? Isn't there a ShellIconCache or something that you delete and then restart the computer? Or is it something else you have to do?Nick Harvey wrote:If you move one up or down, does it stay in the place you've put it over a closedown and reopen?

Ah, see what you mean, I think.
Do you mean the icons don't match the sites they point to?
I thought you meant thay were just in the wrong order, hence the suggestion of a once-off tidy up to move them all up and down to where you wanted them.
You'll probably need to delete all the "favicon" files from Temporary Internet Files, but..................
Does anyone know how to make the contents of Temporary Internet Files visible under IE7?
I could see what was in there under IE6, but it just looks like an empty folder under 7.
All my other "invisible" settings in XP are set to "visible", if that helps.

Thanks for that.
How weird! If you go to the area by that method, via Internet Options, the files are visible; yet if you go by the traditional method, using Explorer, they're nowhere to be seen.
