I shall be inspecting the new BBC Scotland building later in the month to see if it's as good as everyone is claiming.Gavin Scott wrote:Ah well, I'm in the business of giving people what they want.nodnirG kraM wrote:Wholeheartedly agree. Unfortunately we're running from an XLR SQN into a phono limiter which has a male minijack out that needs to go into a female phono in. Yesterday's technology?? We wear the t-shirt here!Gavin Scott wrote:Apparently these jacks are so disgustingly "domestic", he isn't interested in handling them.
Except when I don't. Apparently the new BBC Scotland HQ is 14 lanterns short of a rig, and its taken the contractor 9 months to spot it. Fools.
The boys will check with me tomorrow and get one soldered up.
It's cable time again

If you don't make a provision for me to meet you Mark I will be VERY unhappy.
I suspect I will only be there on a flying visit there in the morning and back in the evening but should that change I will let you know. And if not this time we'll sort something out for the next time!Gavin Scott wrote:If you don't make a provision for me to meet you Mark I will be VERY unhappy.

Ugh. Getting the bits for this is more difficult than I anticipated.
I have 2 x male phono to 6.3mm jack but cant get a minijack adaptor - and its mono.
Or a 2 x female phono to 6.3mm jack mono.
Does it need to be stereo for your purposes?

Can you get hold of a phono to minijack adapter? Thats the only bit I've not got to hand - or a 6.3mm (1/4") jack to minijack adaptor?nodnirG kraM wrote:Well, to be honest, no. It's just voice after all. Yeah mono will do the job just as well.
