Some cases have a separate screw that allows you to remove the backing plate that you screw the motherboard to. You only have to take this out and then it doesn't take much action to dislodge the plate in any direction.Gavin Scott wrote:Although the motherboard fits where it should go, I noticed that the AGP and other slots don't seem to line up very well with the cutouts on the back of the frame. Is this normal? How would I resolve this (short of cutting the back panel somewhat)?
Assuming its a totally standard motherboard with the slots and things in the same place (and not something which a PC manufacturer has fiddled with) then there's no reason why the slots shouldn't line up if the backing plate's in right.
Of course, it could well be a case that's been cut in a shoddy fashion from the production plant.

he has his own forums over at http://sillydog.org/forum/section_18.php
its quite a strange community, you have the djgm user (who you might remember only ever posted about mozilla and apple on here), tid, who is most probably somebody with mental illness and the maintainer of the forum, antony who seems to start 99% of the threads there.
i have actually just reported titus to (or jamie williams which is his real name) to shropshire trading standards.
he uses ntl broadband to host http://kjcomputers.serveftp.net/ which i'm going to report too, (or somebody else could if your feeling helpful). i've also got the address of the kjc corporation ltd which he has as a contact on his website, i have the contract details of the directors so i might give them a bell later.

Sorry chaps but Mr Tidus has taken it upon himself to report Metropol to the ISP for the use of his name in the past; and although an investigation proved we had not broken any rules, I would still prefer we don't give him the oxygen of publicity.
But feel free to report him to Companies House directly.

His name is not copyright, he can't sue Metropol for someone using his name.Gavin Scott wrote:Sorry chaps but Mr Tidus has taken it upon himself to report Metropol to the ISP for the use of his name in the past; and although an investigation proved we had not broken any rules, I would still prefer we don't give him the oxygen of publicity.

no, he didn't like us talking about his company, kjc which doesn't actually exist. i dare say 'rikku' from your site also doesn't actually exist either and is in fact tidus (or jamie williams, his real name)antony wrote:Did Metropol 24/7 actually defame him?nodnirG kraM wrote:Defamation is different from copyright infringement.
but instead of either disproving or providing reasonable explanations for the gaping inconsistencies in his story he cries foul, and when i tried to ask him questions about the legitimacy of the company (of which he had no explanation), djgm censored and deleted the posts (on your board), so i gave up and thought... if people are that stupid to believe his lies then let them.
i mean, you look at his website, there isn't really a 'business' there... no address of any shops, no address of anything, not even a working phone number, etc etc, the company name also doesn't exist in the companies house until the name was edited to fit a company in london (of which none of the directors are either tidus or 'rikku'. it's all made up. in the earlier threads he had addresses on this website, but when they were investigated they were different shops entirely and were removed.
unfortunately, mr tidus johnson and djgm have been playing you, and your fellow forum users as complete idiots and you have taken their word for it every step of the way.
i meant no trouble when i contacted you, i wanted to ensure people aren't ripped off by him.
it seems money isn't his driver, it appears he uses being 'ceo/director' to try and be popular or win respect on forums. i'm not sure why. all we tried to do on this forum was *prove* he was lying, he is, so he went off in a huff.
