well here is a photo from your faceparty profile, the caption you added to that was 'would you?'. i think it looks like a really old picture of freddie mercury.

i don't think long hair looks good on a man, look at bill bailey. you never see a queue of 17 year olds waiting to sit on his face do you?

Bill Bailey? He's got long grey bits! lol!

I agree, long hair doesn't look good on anyone older than say 30. As for the Freddie comparison... you're turning into Bail!

NB: I'm not a fan of dying my hair bleach blonde and having dark eyebrows, Lobster. Each to their own... :P

I have to say that I was feeling quite down before I read this thread.

Amazing what seeing a photo can do for your morale. (Anthony Alldritt taught me that)

Holy Moly, I can't stand that weirdo in Mighty Boosh. He's so unbeleivably vain about his hideous "fashion" hair.

Cut it off James. People who rely on their hair to make them attractive usually aren't.

Buy a decent pair of clippers for £20-£30 and then save a fortune on haircuts. And look better into the bargain. ;)

(with apologies to those members involved in the hairdressing trade...)

No need to apologise Marksi. You have got onto a specialist subject of mine. For those who do, do it themselves a bit of advice. Invest in a decent pair i personally donot recommend buying a pair under £30. Wahl is what i use but Oster are just as good more expensive. If you do it yourself a decent set of wahl clippers will last you a lifetime, unless you're a barber of course. I've been doing this job for the last 19 years and i've been on my second pair of clippers for 10 years now. Okay the blades and lead have been sharpened and replaced several times in that time.

Keep the blades well lubricated, i use 3in1 oil. It's cheap lasts ages and lasts a damn sight longer than the Wahl clipper oil.
Do not under any circumstances use melted lard to lubricate the blades like a dippy friend of my fella once done. She presented me with the clippers to clean and repair - stoopid cow-

Check the blades are aligned correctly, as they no doubt get bashed and bonked about. If they are out of alignment they will not cut cleanly and they could cut the skin leaving a lovely dotted line.

I prefer mens hair short and clean cut as very few men can carry off long hair . Jamez you really ought to consider going back to short/ish ( not skinned please) hair. Marksi and cat look good with skinned heads, infact Cat looks well buff in that pic if you don't mind me saying so cat. btw Jamez so far the majority rules * sticks tongue out at you* Neh! Neh! Neh!

And finally make sure you check the back of your head after you've shaved your head. I watched someone do their hair themselves once and they left a lovely tuft which made him look like a hari krishna and no i didn't tell him.

Right, DAS, your turn.
