I went to Galashiels at 12.00 for the sake of annoying them. We hurled abuse at the people outside Woolies (for they are an evil shop) and then barged into the queue so we were the first to buy the book meaning we got in the el crappo local rag twice after already being snapped for being the oly people who dressed up.

Talking of dressing up, here is our (non-midnight) store...

We appeared to be the only local store that actually bovvarred to decorated. Gala certainly hadn't. What about elsewhere in the country?

Why release two versions of the book that is exactly the same? How bloody sad is that?

oh you fool. it's for people who wish to have a nicer cover on their shelves. plus never underestimate the "compete buyer" aka the people who must have everything in a series and therefore buy both versions (although in theory four times as you wouldn't want to *read* the book for display purposes)

Our "adult covers" sold very well.

That is not Norwich, though Norwich does have a lovely Ottakar's and a charming Waterstone's.

Both preparing to be killed by the impending arrival of Borders, of course.

There was none of that business at the Huddersfield branch. I'm surprised some local youths didn't rip those 'bin bags' down.

So have them new touch screen tills been introduced across the country now then, I notice they now have them at Bradford Kirkgate
