I honestly don't know what I believe when it comes to death, but I've always held religion as a device for the living, to ease the pain of loss that inevitably comes with death. Oh genius moment on Fox News just a moment ago. Someone decided to leave their reporters mic up and we got to hear “Hello?...why won’t anybody hear me?”…and this genius line as a sombre Shepard Smith was rambling “Pope is dead…hello? Pope is dead Pope is dead”. So beautifully handled IMO.
