I stopped there when my train broke down. When we all changed to the replacement I sat next to a fit lad and he and I ended up joining the 125 club.

Er, that's all I got.

Oh tell me about it, this place is the pits.

Did you spot the old grubby looking trainspotting work shy dossers in beiege slacks and parkers at the station ? A highlight of every trip through Doncaster station.

Well it's impressive that you weren't burned by a lynch mob, it must have been Giro day.

Anyhoo I have something in common with the broadcasting legend that is Jeremy Clarkson (steady Katherine) in that I was *BORN* in that hell hole with above-average leisure complex. Thankfully I was never forced to live there though, and have a healthy contempt for the place, in fact we both do!

How about a tower block which had to be evacuated due to a suspected arson attack? an article on the BBC site somewhere...

Hmmm... Our relatives live there... in mexborough...

*shudder*

Not only do we hugely <b>not</b> get on well with them, they live in doncaster. The skid mark of yorkshire.

I've always wanted to move to that peculiar place that has a Donny postal address, a Sheffield postcode and a Rotherham phone number. Just so I can confuse people.

Hmm that sounds similar to Belvoir Castle!

Belvoir Castle
Grantham
Leicestershire
NG32 1PD

It's classed as Grantham (even though it's a few miles away) and has a Grantham phone number which is Lincolnshire

Belvoir is in Leicestershire

It has a Nottinghamshire postcode! :?

We have a Derbyshire area code and postal code and a leicstershire borough. We sit on the border of Leics/Derby. If you turn on this weird post code display on a mobile, the area code flickers between 01509 and 01332.

It thought I'd add that...

Sorry to be different, but there's nowt wrong with Donny!

I've found some good shops around the town centre, it might look a bit dated but they are redeveloping the place. And one of my best mates at work is a Donny lass.
