Cheap Flights

Does anyone know any good websites which offers cheap flights to destinations such as Australia.

I have tried out the major airlines' websites, travel sites like Expedia, LastMinute, and Teletext, but wondered if forumers knew any others.

The cheapest return flight for next June ro Sydnet I've found is £598.50.

You've got to remember that the longer you book in advance, the cheaper the flights will be!

If you're a student then sta travel will be of use to you - perhaps even if you're not a student but in the right conditions, I forget. Also - if you do buy tickets, it's wise to buy travel insurance BEFORE you buy them because they've covered by things like illness that way. Chances are you'll be buying insurance at some point so this is a bonus.

Try ebookers.com - don't know when exactly in June you're travelling but I found some flights for £509.
When I went to South Africa in the summer I looked EVERYWHERE on the internet and this company were lower than everyone else.

It's a bit of a tough one, because first of all I have to get the £600 odd. But then I need to find out where my mate will be in June next year. He is out there for a year and is travelling all over the place.

The plan is for him to let me know which city to fly into by around January, but as CDD pointed out, the sooner you book, the cheaper.

First I want to get the flights out the way, then I'll sort out living expenses!

Cheers for all the suggestions so far, but more would be very welcome!!

I flew easyJet to and from Luton over the weekend. Horrible turbulence on the way back, and very windy on landing. I thought for a minute we would have to go round and approach the runway again.

I've noted that in times of particulrly bumpy flying/landing, the air hostesses seem to chat ever louder and in a more light hearted way.

I wonder if they are trained to 'seem' relaxed during those moments.

I had a very windy landing at Heathrow a few weeks ago and actually approached and touched down at an angle pointing slightly left of the runway. All this isn't uncommon and the pilot easily straightened out after touch done, it was a rather unpleasant landing!

I'm flying to the south of France on Friday too, and am keeping a close eye on the weather for any iffy turbulance. Hopefully Sunday's return flight will be painless. Someone I'm going with isn't too keen on flying. Personally, I love it.
