The beauty of IQ is that it doesn't test "intelligence" at all - merely your spatial and verbal reasoning. True intelligence - the ability to analyse, use advanced logic, remember and understand difficult concepts, empathise with those around you or possess aesthetic abilities, the list not being exhaustive - is something you could never properly quantify.
There's no harm in it - it just shouldn't be called an "Intelligence Quotient" or marketed (by Mensa in particular, who are elitist fools, damn them) as the be-all-and-end-all of assessing somebody's intelligence - and, by implied extension, their intrinsic worth.
