Minimal? This advert is literally nothing at all!bilky asko wrote: Wed 29 Oct, 2025 13.56 Their adverts have always tended to be quite minimal in their claims - I presume it's because they can't actually advertise the benefits you supposedly get from using the oil on your skin.

A bit like the advert for caffeinated shampoo, which makes no mention of why you might want to put caffeine on your head, or what benefits it might bring you.bilky asko wrote: Wed 29 Oct, 2025 13.56 Their adverts have always tended to be quite minimal in their claims - I presume it's because they can't actually advertise the benefits you supposedly get from using the oil on your skin.
The problem I have with the ad isn't that it necessarily breaks the rules of a conventional advert, but I just don't think it does the job very well. Sure, it shows the logo, and it does show the product, but the clips have a fast pace, and you don't see the finished product in its packaging, like the cardboard box. I tend to recognise the packaging of something first, before the logo; things like basic colours and images. If I don't see it, then I wouldn't know what to look for. This does sound like a me problem, but I don't think I'd be the only person who follows that logic.

I know this post was of 2 years ago, but did Alexia overlook Pres Cafe?Alexia wrote: Mon 27 Nov, 2023 23.39 Slightly offtopic and should probably go on a TV Forum of some kind if there was one around but...
...one of those old advert compilations has gone up on YouTube -- apparently BBC2 / Lambie Nairn let Pizza Hut use not one, not two but three of their ident concepts to flog, to quote Spike from Buffy, "melted cheese on bread" ?
