Hi everyone!

I’m new to this forum and had no idea this one existed until today!

Effectively found this place while seeking refuge from Pres Cafe.

I’ve had posts removed multiple times in recent weeks. The most ridiculous being links in the International News thread to a number of big recent rebrands. I added the mandatory commentary to it to avoid the evil sin of just posting updates and still got warnings.

I fear my time on that Forum may be coming to an end. A bit of a shame as it originally was a great place to get updates and views on current developments. Am I right in thinking the mods are now basically on a purge frenzy? The volume of new posts is down massively recently suggesting something is happening behind the scenes. Weird behaviour.

Also, I completely agree SkyGeek is an odd one! Overly sensitive is an understatement.

Yeah it's a bit suspicious. Historically you got about 30 posts an hour. Now it's just 3 or so...

Yeah I saw the same thing myself yesterday when accessing the site logged out off my account and there's not as much activity as there used to be. Clearly some people are afraid of posting on the site now in fear of getting random warnings.

And it now seems I have been banned! Must have been for raising concerns on here as I haven’t posted again on the site.

Nescafé seems to be the moderator who is taking their ‘new rules’ to draconian levels.

Such a shame. It’s been a great little forum. If the rules aren’t eased up, the site will be gone within a year. It’ll quickly become a bore fest reading the same endless speculation from the same three or four users interspersed with SkyGeek occassionally losing his mind because someone dared to suggest a new chair or light in the newsroom 🤣

Don't worry, I've been there before last month as Cool Mango.

I have a feeling Pres Cafe is the YouTube of presentation forums. They make changes that upset their users which make the users want to move to an alternative, however just like YouTube no big/well-known alternatives are available. I would personally like to see a separate international pres forum since Pres Cafe does not seem to have any interest in un-geolocking the site (going as far as to introduce the VPN rule I mentioned earlier). Even if they were to have the site read-only outside of the UK, or at the very least put up a notice that isn't the CloudFlare default "You have been blocked" screen, it would still be better than now.

I would also like to say that I don't dislike TV Pres as a group. I'm OK with its existence. It's only the forum that I have issues with.

Then buy a domain and a web hosting plan, and get the ball rolling. Better yet, I'm sure the PC administrators would be extremely greatful if you offered to front the cost of whatever time is spent implementing a more complex solution to the technical issue(s) that prompted the geoblock.
