Yikes, they really are banning everyone, aren't they?

I'm not sure that's news, as it appears that member was banned a year ago. I suppose it's information but it's not particularly interesting.

I have read the site since 2023 and can assure you that he was not banned in 2024

Considering said user hasn't posted or interacted with a post in over a year, how would you know unless you were oddly obsessed with this particular dormant user, or it's you.

They already have, haven't they?

I use the Google One VPN on my phone - as far as I know if I'm in the UK it connects via a UK IP address - and haven't been able to access Pres Cafe on there for a few months now.

Same here - out of curosity decided to turn on my Surfshark VPN using their UK server and can confirm it blocks me access as well.

I find it's hit and miss as to whether my connection is blocked. It's a pain in the backside that they're choosing to block these VPN IPs. I have the Surfshark app running on my mobile as standard for all Internet use, not specifically for their forum.

I also use Surfshark, but use split tunneling to use Pres Cafe with my standard ISP connection.

I also use a VPN (Zoog), but I generally don't have it on for general web browsing; mainly its to use American Netflix. I get the reason for them stopping users from using it, as they have been very clear that they are no longer allowing international users, but most people who care about their online privacy are likely to have used, or are using, a VPN.

Why the hell has this become a VPN thread over one post? I get that they now condemn them but that doesn't make it fine to drag OT.
