I have Now TV (entertainment and movies) so can't comment on TNT's coverage but I have to say that televised football has become a huge disgrace. I'm not a football fan but I can understand why many fans are up in arms. It stopped being the "people's game" a long time ago and is now just a source of greed. While I can't condone it I understand why many viewers are using shall we say "alternative sources" to watch matches.

There's a valid point to be made about greediness and football going hand in hand, and ideally most fans would be able to watch games for accessible prices, but the way he goes on about it you'd think there needs a parliamentary investigation into TNT. Even something like the BBC not showing the Cup draw is tantamount to treason in his books.1mbroglio wrote: Thu 16 Oct, 2025 19.53GhostFromTVF wrote: Thu 16 Oct, 2025 19.38 In other news, shropshireguy is calling for TNT to be shut down simply because they outbid FTA broadcasters to show the FA Cup and won’t give the BBC all of the best matches:

Even worse when you have the situations of the likes of Sky and TNT snatching the rights to other sports and closing down Eurosport, so if you want to watch it you have to basically pay for the football and the overinflated prices assosiated with it even if you don't want to watch the football. To keep on getting what we used to watch on Eurosport, it would cost more than our subscription to every other channel combined just to pay for TNT to get what we used to get included before! Then fact TNT have Olympic rights and have severely restricted what the BBC can show just makes it worse, as least I was able to make use of Europort's Olympic coverage and extra channels before. If Sky and TNT at least offered a cheaper football-free subscription option it wouldn't be as bad seeing as that's what makes up the majority of their obscene subscription prices, but we know they won't.1mbroglio wrote: Thu 16 Oct, 2025 19.53GhostFromTVF wrote: Thu 16 Oct, 2025 19.38 In other news, shropshireguy is calling for TNT to be shut down simply because they outbid FTA broadcasters to show the FA Cup and won’t give the BBC all of the best matches:

I found this article on that possibility:james2001 wrote: Thu 16 Oct, 2025 20.29Even worse when you have the situations of the likes of Sky and TNT snatching the rights to other sports and closing down Eurosport, so if you want to watch it you have to basically pay for the football and the overinflated prices assosiated with it even if you don't want to watch the football. news: post now outdated. Reason: sadministration. Left below for the sake of historical archival/b]
Going back on track, I have just registered on PC. Might post there soon. Look out for a guy named Cool Mango.

I've been banned for no reason as Asa, as were formerly said, is shite at administration (certainly good at sadministration on the other side of the light). That's changed my opinion on the site now then.
It doesn't deserve to exist. It makes me cry knowing THIS is the tripe that replaces TV Live Forum. Unbelievable that they let the shittiest users in but only good users are banned or become former members. It's probably gonna get ended for the best soon anyway. I have not broken a rule at all. I won't miss it if it all goes soon. In fact, I hope an actually good cafe (preferably Costa) replaces it.

Tell me when the posts were removed.dosxuk wrote: Wed 15 Oct, 2025 08.15Wait - so you want people to be banned rather than just having their posts removed? And you see this as a good thing?MoeTheMan2025 wrote: Tue 14 Oct, 2025 22.57 And if the sadministrator or soderator had courage, they'd actually do sensible things (no, this is not against Rule #34), such as:
1. Use sensible rules. Rule 20 was broken by JexedBack, but instead of being banned like genuinely innocent users, he just gets a thread closure. And BlueFrog is on there, but his youtube is banned. Just how does that make sense?
SPOILER: he is now speechless

That went quicker than I anticipated.
Moe, I know you mean well, and judging from your language, admittedly you feel very strong about this (a little too strong, I might add, and judging from the tone of your posts here, this isn't really the best hill to die on here), it's really not worth your time trying to come back on new accounts. It only drags people further into the mud.
This is kind of one of the reasons I walked back from this thread, because it really became just a massive shouting match, accusing other members of 'smelling bad' and blaming others, plus the senseless 'insults' towards other users making valid criticisms of the forum. I gave up fighting because I knew it was a losing battle (I mean, I'm certainly not the first nor last to make criticisms of the current decisions at PC), and I certainly don't want you to waste your energy on this thread, because quite frankly, you're going to look back on this and cringe. Hard.
Might be best to move to spaces that value who you are, rather than wasting it in the places that clearly don't. And that means not posting to Metropol too.

Rude. Rest assured if I want actual friends I'll make them elsewhereJetixFann450 wrote: Sun 19 Oct, 2025 03.59 That went quicker than I anticipated.

Wasn't trying to be rude, that wasn't my intent, but I wanted to try and be honest with you. I've been where you are right now (especially on TVF), and I know it doesn't end well if you continue to try pushing at something that isn't going to budge. I do genuinely hope you find a space that treats you better.MoeTheMan2025 wrote: Sun 19 Oct, 2025 04.02Rude.
