In other news, shropshireguy is calling for TNT to be shut down simply because they outbid FTA broadcasters to show the FA Cup and won’t give the BBC all of the best matches:

I have Now TV (entertainment and movies) so can't comment on TNT's coverage but I have to say that televised football has become a huge disgrace. I'm not a football fan but I can understand why many fans are up in arms. It stopped being the "people's game" a long time ago and is now just a source of greed. While I can't condone it I understand why many viewers are using shall we say "alternative sources" to watch matches.

There's a valid point to be made about greediness and football going hand in hand, and ideally most fans would be able to watch games for accessible prices, but the way he goes on about it you'd think there needs a parliamentary investigation into TNT. Even something like the BBC not showing the Cup draw is tantamount to treason in his books.

Even worse when you have the situations of the likes of Sky and TNT snatching the rights to other sports and closing down Eurosport, so if you want to watch it you have to basically pay for the football and the overinflated prices assosiated with it even if you don't want to watch the football. To keep on getting what we used to watch on Eurosport, it would cost more than our subscription to every other channel combined just to pay for TNT to get what we used to get included before! Then fact TNT have Olympic rights and have severely restricted what the BBC can show just makes it worse, as least I was able to make use of Europort's Olympic coverage and extra channels before. If Sky and TNT at least offered a cheaper football-free subscription option it wouldn't be as bad seeing as that's what makes up the majority of their obscene subscription prices, but we know they won't.
