You’re absolutely right.

I’ve got a good example - I was actually looking for the thread on TVF about the 2004 C4 rebrand the other day, just to have a look back at what the reactions were on launch - because it’s arguably one of the best bits of TV pres we’ve ever seen, and because I saw people nattering about it in the favourite bits of pres thread.

I found a thread that I think was made just as the news was breaking out about it and it was being featured in Broadcast before being rolled out - and people were being absolutely miserable about what must’ve been a tiny JPEG of the 3D logo. In 2004. It’s really not a new thing, it’s been happening ever since I’ve known the forum(s).

I have been making posts as usual. You haven't been angering the Hull milk cartel again, have you?

Another misery thread for the new ITN branding. Honestly think some posters would rather everything still looked how it did in the 80s.

I take it that Pres Cafe is slowly looming towards its premature end?

I remember when the Watch, News and Information Boards were mainly complaints about overenthusiastic younger members uncritically declaring every rebrand to be brilliant.

But I guess you can't win them all.

It wouldn't be much of a discussion forum if everyone agreed that everything was great. Hardly the death knell.

Yeah maybe the reason why it seems negative at the moment is because… the rebrands aren’t very good?
