Another High Street Rebrand
It's much clearer that it's a lion at least. After Next removed their garden range from their Home stores that had it (which happened a couple of years ago) it looks like they've partnered with Homebase to fill the gap left in the stores:

And - it looks like a revised Homebase logo? I wonder if we'll see it roll out more widely.
They do seem to have stopped their endless store closures and put a bigger focus on their homewares, so perhaps they're doing better than they were. The two Homebases near me are both in dire need of modernising though.

As you can imagine, it looks like a crap Wilko.
It does look a bit meh doesn't it. I also like that this brand new store has ancient IBM EPOS equipment found in the nearest skip (or more likely recovered from another store closure)
They run their card terminals seperately to their EPOS system now so I assume they hit some technical limitations.
A bit off topic but Wilko have recently rolled out a new EPOS system too - Diebold Nixdorf in place of the Fujitsu equipment, with new card terminals. They have also introduced a truly rubbish self service where they move the regular till screen around to face the customer, a handheld scanner, and barely any changes to the GUI to make it customer friendly. Plenty of people seem to get confused by it.

It reminds me of that M&S fruity-tasting cola. They've done a campaign around it, asking if people agree or disagree that it's the Best Coke Ever.
