what's the waste like on those giant fuck off cakes they always have on the patisserie counter?

It's a bit like the fancy store in Pimlico, which has since reverted to a standard format.

Looks like the concept Morrisons store from a few years ago near where I used to live. I’m sure all supermarkets have come up with this sort of design over the past ten years.

It does look dated already. I seem to remember Tesco trying something similar around 10 years ago.

Reminds me of the new look M&S food halls that they started rolling out last year and that seem to have ground to a halt due to COVID.

Not sure, that used to be managed as part of the bakery department rather than counters. I imagine high but made up for by ridiculous markup given the price of similar huge cakes at Costco.

Still showing as a temporary closure of the counters in my local Sainsbury's! I wonder what will go in their place, this store (Hedge End) was only refurbished a year ago!

Really missing Sainsbury's Mull of Kintyre cheddar here, but that's down to the creamery going bust. Going to treat myself to some Wookey Hole from Waitrose for Christmas, and a baked Camembert or two. Hmm.

It appears Sainsbury's have integrated Argos's stock checker technology as they now offer a stock checker for groceries on the JS website.

I very much doubt that relies on any Argos technology at all.
