That is one of those typical internet argument threads where nobody wins.bilky asko wrote: Sat 18 Aug, 2018 12.08 MMcG198 is angry again at regional accents making it to the BBC.
You know where one opinion is argued against with the most extreme opposite opinion and it just goes back and forth from one to the other as if there is no other shades of middle ground.
Bit like pretty much all politics at the moment

Lingusitcs isn't exactly a riveting topic for most people at the best of times, which doesn't help.Andrew wrote: Sun 19 Aug, 2018 22.26That is one of those typical internet argument threads where nobody wins.bilky asko wrote: Sat 18 Aug, 2018 12.08 MMcG198 is angry again at regional accents making it to the BBC.

The ‘Discussions about Sharitall21’ thread may well be the best thing The Gallery has ever produced. Which isn’t hard.
When was the last time we had an intermission from a parent? I definitely remember seeing posts from a particularly foul-mouthed parent (again, probably in the Gallery) but it must have been some time ago now!
Personal highlight of the Vimeo post was, that after all the unnecessary postings surrounding his procurement of Microsoft Office, that on his desktop it looked like he had a .zip folder in with Windows 7 Home Edition in, which I'm not *quite* sure is how Microsoft distribute it...

Not on TV Forum, but on the old TV Ark forums around 15 years ago there was an occasion when someone joined and posted a load of genuinely indechipherable nonsense (like Paul Akinbola and Lee Bedwood, but I think this was before either of them surfaced), and all of us who asked what the hell they were on about ended up with abusive PMs from the kid's dad.

You've forgotten the bit about ratings not indicating which are the major channels.bilky asko wrote: Thu 06 Sep, 2018 13.13 Speaking of shite, British wrestling is apparently in a boom phase, according to cityprod, and Doctor Who doesn't want to compete with the behemoth that is WoS Wrestling.
With ratings that don't even trouble an old The Chase repeat, who could argue with him?
